Shams Charania: The Wizards are trading Aaron Holiday to Phoenix, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
Michael Scotto: Speaking of the Wizards, as you touched on, Yossi, Aaron Holiday is available, and multiple teams have checked in on his price tag with Washington, league sources say.

Shams Charania: Wizards send No. 22 (Isaiah Jackson) to Indiana for Aaron Holiday, sources said.
Houston (Nos. 23, 24) and New York (Nos. 19, 21) have continued their efforts searching to jump into the teens, while Brooklyn also appears active in talks to move up from No. 27, with the Nets offering sharpshooting guard Landry Shamet, sources said. Would a team like Indiana be willing to drop so far back? The Pacers are also discussing Aaron Holiday with rival teams, sources said.
Everything is down with Aaron Holiday, the Indiana Pacers' first-round draft pick in 2018: His points, shooting, assisting, rebounding and minutes. A trade target since his rookie season, the 6-1 guard could be in another uniform by Thursday's trade deadline or by the NBA draft. That's what many around Holiday, league sources with knowledge of the situation, tell IndyStar, are hoping to see. That also depends on what the Pacers are able to get for him as his role has quickly diminished under coach Nate Bjorkgren. To continue to let him sit likely would depress his value.
The Los Angeles Clippers have expressed interest in Pacers guard Aaron Holiday, HoopsHype has learned. He’s on their radar if they can’t acquire George Hill or Ricky Rubio on the trade market. As reported by HoopsHype over the weekend, Holiday is available on the trade market if a team is willing to part with a first-round pick, league sources say.
Sacramento’s Bjelica, Oklahoma City’s George Hill, Detroit’s Wayne Ellington, Miami’s Olynyk, Indiana’s Aaron Holiday and the Orlando duo of Evan Fournier and Terrence Ross are all prime contenders to be moved. Hill and Minnesota’s Ricky Rubio have been mentioned frequently as secondary targets for the Clippers, after Ball.
Pacers young guard Aaron Holiday seems to have fallen out of favor, and the franchise is looking for a first-round pick in return.
Aaron Holiday is available on the trade market if a team is willing to part with a first-round pick, league sources told HoopsHype.
Some with the Celtics have seen TJ Warren as an important piece of any Gordon Hayward sign-and-trade, but Indiana values Warren as a cornerstone, and is reluctant to move him, SNY has learned. Some with the Celtics also have seen Aaron Holiday as an important part of the package they get back from Boston in a Hayward sign-and-trade. But Indiana is also reluctant to move the young guard, per SNY sources.
While the Knicks have been focused on acquiring D’Angelo Russell as they eye point guards before Thursday’s 3 p.m. NBA trade deadline, the Knicks also at some point made an inquiry into Pacers playmaker Aaron Holiday, the younger brother of Jrue and Justin. Holiday, 23, is in his second season. After a modest rookie year, he’s played in 47 games, made 19 starts and in 23 minutes per game is averaging 10.2 points and 3.5 assists.
Indiana could probably get a first-round pick for Aaron Holiday, who has been out of the rotation since Oladipo's return. They have shown little inclination to move him, sources say.
With Victor Oladipo ready to make a return near the end of the month and Malcolm Brogdon one of the offseason's greatest acquisitions, more than one competing executive believes the Indiana Pacers will put one of their two backup point guards on the market: TJ McConnell or Aaron Holiday.
Before that bucket, the Aaron Holiday who made the in-and-out dribble to freeze 6-11 shot-blocker Jonathan Isaac before converting a left-handed layup looks like an All-Star. Pacers adviser Larry Bird has been so high on the 6-foot guard that he believes Holiday can blossom into an All-Star someday. At least, that was his perspective after the Pacers (9-6) almost moved him nine months ago during his rookie season. That's what a league source told IndyStar then, after also reporting that Holiday had been informed he could be traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in a deal to bring in Mike Conley.
The Orlando Magic, Saturday night's opponent, were a possible trade destination for Aaron Holiday, too. (They ended up acquiring Markelle Fultz from Philadelphia.) The Phoenix Suns liked him as well. (They ended up with Ricky Rubio at $17 million per year, the Pacers' fallback option at $13 million had they not acquired Malcolm Brogdon.)
The Phoenix Suns, who were expected to take Holiday at No. 16 in the draft but allowed him to drop to the Pacers at No. 23, remain aggressive in trying to shake him loose, along with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls. The Pacers have denied shopping Holiday, insisting that they stopped taking calls on him before the trade deadline.
The value of Aaron Holiday continues to thrive as the NBA Draft arrives Thursday and free agency opens at the end of the month. If the Indiana Pacers are going to make any significant move to jump from No. 18 or reshape the roster, it’ll likely come through moving Domantas Sabonis or Holiday. Holiday was informed that he potentially was on the move in February, with his name attached to a deal for Mike Conley with the Memphis Grizzlies, league sources told IndyStar then.
The Pacers discussed a deal with him going to the Orlando Magic before the deadline, according to league sources, as they had strong interest in Aaron Gordon. The Magic pivoted, however, to acquire Markelle Fultz from Philadelphia and kept Gordon. The Pacers have also talked to the Atlanta Hawks about moving up eight spots Thursday to No. 10 but Holiday was requested in such a swap to bolster the Hawks' backcourt behind Trae Young and that discussion didn’t go anywhere, a league source said.
The Grizzlies took a slight risk in waiting until now to deal Conley instead of acting at the trade deadline, but it ended up costing them nothing beyond the chance to clear more 2019-20 salary. They might have come out better for it. They always wanted two first-round picks, and they got them. The Detroit Pistons opted against paying that price, sources say, and even had the Pistons agreed, Memphis might have been stuck with Reggie Jackson. The Pacers would not surrender two first-round picks and Aaron Holiday, sources say.
Holiday was a hot commodity going into the trade deadline with multiple teams inquiring about his availability until president Kevin Pritchard stopped taking calls. Larry Bird, an adviser to the team, believes the 2018 No. 23 pick has All-Star potential.
Kevin Pritchard: That would be completely false!
Aaron Holiday is a popular target for teams placing calls to the Indiana Pacers -- and he was told recently that he could be moved by Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline, a league source told IndyStar -- but he's off the table, according to another league source. Many teams have contacted the Pacers to gauge interest in dealing Holiday, but Indiana has stopped accepting inquiries.

He was asked if he can crack the U.S. team’s starting five. “I’m a realist, man, so I know it’s probably not going to happen,” Edwards said. “It’s going to maybe be even hard for me to find minutes. I’m going to enjoy my time, enjoying working out alongside of them, enjoying being on the bench, clapping them on, cheering them on. “If they need me, I’ll be out there ready to go.”
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charnia, Under Armour reportedly made a strong push, even involving Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry in its pitch. “Stephen Curry was involved in the Under Armour pitch, which is notable,” Charnia said. “He has Curry Brand with Under Armour. He was involved with that pitch. Him and Caitlin Clark, I think, are beginning to build a relationship, but she’s not signing there. And she will soon be official with Nike.”

Steve Kerr on Klay Thompson potential minutes next season: 'I would prefer not to play him 35 minutes'
“I thought Klay really showed that he was agreeable to the sixth-man role the second half of the year, even though eventually we put him back in the starting lineup,” Kerr said. “I think that’s got to be an option going forward. I would prefer not to play him 35 minutes. There were games down the stretch, I think the New Orleans game, I think I played him 38 minutes. We’ve got to be able to play him less. But in order to do that we’ve got to add more shooting to the roster, frankly. We can add more shooting and limit Klay’s minutes.”
