Now that Michigan football's coaching staff is whole again, it appears one of the key off-the-field roles is also refilled.

Jim Harbaugh has brought back Tom Gamble to be the program's director of player personnel, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Gamble spent last season, his 30th in the NFL, as the Jacksonville Jaguars' senior personnel executive under GM Trent Baalke.

In 2017, Harbaugh added Gamble to U-M's personnel staff and was with the team until 2019. Gamble was on the San Francisco 49ers' staff from 2004-12 and 2015-16, the former of those stint coincided with Harbaugh's tenure as head coach.

Gamble has also worked for the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens.

Last season, Courtney Morgan was U-M's director of player personnel but left in December for the same position at Washington.
