Accusations that Donald Trump destroyed documents as President rather than handing them over to the National Archives got even stranger this week. In New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman’s new book, Confidence Man, she reported that he apparently flushed documents down the toilet. As former Trump White House Communications Director and The View guest co-host Alyssa Farah put it on today’s episode of the ABC talk show: “Thank heavens I never saw his bathroom!”

Farah went on to condemn her ex-employer’s actions, although she did acknowledge that she witnessed him tearing up documents during her time in the White House.

“It was wrong when Hillary Clinton destroyed classified federal documents, and it’s absolutely wrong when Donald Trump does,” she continued. “I’m just shocked he went a step further.”

But in fellow guest host Ana Navarro‘s opinion, “it’s one more sign of the criminality of Trump and his White House, and the hypocrisy.”

“He spent a chunk of the [2016 presidential] campaign beating up on Hillary Clinton and her 32,000 [allegedly missing] emails,” Navarro pointed out. “In the meantime, this guy has 15 boxes of White House documents at Mar-a-Lago, which he just returned this week, and he’s clogging up the pipes. I knew they were full of crap, but I didn’t realize it went this far.”

Sunny Hostin echoed Navarro’s words: “I don’t think this is similar to Hillary Clinton … He was the president. It’s like comparing apples and orangutans.”
