Tom Holland Has Met With Bong Joon Ho Recently & Wants To Work With The Filmmaker On A Project

Tom Holland is on top of the world right now. Not only is he the star of the biggest box office success in years, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” but he is prepping the release of “Uncharted,” which is the kickoff to what could be another massive franchise for the young actor. However, when you ask him who he’d like to work with in the future, his sights are set well below the mega-tentpole realm.

Speaking to Hipertextual, Tom Holland talked about his work on “Uncharted,” and teased a bit about the future of his career. Specifically, he was asked if there are any directors that he’s dying to work with in the future. The only one he named is Bong Joon Ho, of “Parasite” fame, and even teased that the two have had a meeting.

“I love Bong Joon Ho. I think he’s wonderful,” said Holland. “I had the pleasure of meeting with him recently. I have met with him before. He is someone who I think has a great heart. He has not been corrupted by Hollywood. He is a wonderful, wonderful director, and I love all of his work. So, he’s probably up there, at the minute, for me.”

At first, you might be wondering how Tom Holland might be able to fit into a Bong Joon Ho feature. Well, it’s not like Bong has shied away from using A-list talent in features previously, having cast folks like Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, and Jake Gyllenhaal in films.

As a matter of fact, perhaps we could see Tom Holland show up in the new, untitled sci-fi film that Bong is developing right now. We’ve already seen reports that Robert Pattinson will star in the feature, but maybe Holland can show up in a supporting role. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Tom Holland can currently be seen in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and will next be seen in “Uncharted,” which arrives in theaters on February 18.
