Trade for Cory Joseph

Much has been said about the need to trade Schroeder and improve our outside shooting, as well as management's desire to get under cap. Schroeder has been putting up some nice numbers recently, but I feel it has been mostly taking advantage of the backup player of weak teams who have been decimated by injuries and his poor outside shooting, shoot first mentality and inability to create for teammates will be exposed against better teams - especially in the post season/

I think this is an interesting trade. I am using Chicago as a facilitator since they are in need of a PG with Ball and Caruso out - but feel free to replace them with any team with a need for a backup PG.

  • Boston Trades - Schroeder to Chicago
  • Chicago Trades Troy Brown (replace with other young player with potential) to Detroit
  • Detroit Trades Cory Joseph to Boston

Why for Boston - We get under the cap, Cory Joseph is shooting 43% from deep and dishing out nearly 4 ast in 20 minutes and would be a perfect fit as a backup PG. Jospeh is signed on for another season - while Schroeder is a goner next year.

Why for Chicago - As mentioned, they are in need of a backup PG due to injuries, with their first playoff push in years, they need a vet much more than developing a 22 year old wing

Why for Detroit - Troy Brown is a young player who fits Detroit timeline, Joseph is not needed on a tanking team
