Biden’s Border Policies Condemned by Senator John Boozman: How it Started v. How it’s Going

U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) continued to call out the Biden administration’s dangerous policies that have resulted in a historic crisis at our southern border.

“More than two million illegal immigrants were caught attempting to cross the border last year, and if the Biden administration doesn’t get serious about securing the border, we’re on pace to repeat or exceed this troubling figure in 2022,” Boozman said.

The senator highlighted how President Biden’s executive actions in the early days of his presidency were a “green light” for illegal immigrants to enter the country and described the consequences of this reckless agenda.

“We’ve experienced record border crossings, overflowing detention centers, and the release of single adult migrants in the U.S., among many other problems. That’s how it’s going,” Boozman said.

Boozman demanded answers about media reports that taxpayer dollars are being used to fly and release illegal immigrants across the country in a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas last week.

He is also a cosponsor of the Protect American Taxpayer Dollars from Illegal Immigrants Act. This legislation would block the Biden administration’s plan to give illegal immigrants taxpayer-funded payments.

Boozman has advocated commonsense policies to secure the border including completing construction of the border wall and deploying technology at the border to prevent illegal crossings as well as fully reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy that requires illegal immigrants to wait in Mexico until their asylum cases are decided.
