It appears as if Star Wars: Andor won’t be a one-and-done show in Disney+ if co-star Stellan Skarsgård is correct. Skarsgård, who is co-starring in the show along with Diego Luna, spoke with Dagens Nyheter (per What’s On Disney+) and said that Disney will kick off production on the second season this fall.

“We start with [filming Dune: Part Two] in July,” Skarsgård said. “And then in the autumn, it’s time for the second season of the Star Wars series Andor. I do not know when they will start broadcasting it. It will take some time so that it does not take too long between season one and season two.”

The series is a prequel to Rogue One and sees Luna reprise his role of Cassian Andor. It’s set before the events of the film and follows Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion. It also stars Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma and Alan Tudyk as Cassian’s droid sidekick K-2SO, though the latter reportedly won’t appear in the first season.
