The most affable, down-to-earth pop singer you’ll ever meet has been selling out shows all over the U.S. since the There and Back Again World Tour started in January. In a couple of cities, they’re even adding second shows. The dreamy “dance-cry” synth-scape of the new album is yet another step away from the R&B tracks that launched his music career in South Korea almost a decade ago, but melancholy-shaded pop feels pretty on-the-mark for Year Two of a global pandemic.
