On February 3, MONSTA X's I.M and Kihyun held a live broadcast of Naver NOW's radio program "Midnight Idol," wherein the two idols are the hosts.
During this broadcast, one fan sent in a comment, saying, "Hello hosts. Did you know that today's the last day for you to pay your vehicle tax? If you haven't paid it yet, make sure you get your payment through before midnight!"

As Kihyun was reading the comment, he became visibly stunned and quickly asked I.M if he had paid his vehicle tax, to which I.M gasps out loud - indicating that he didn't.
Almost immediately, I.M and Kihyun both took out their phones and searched for ways to pay their pending vehicle tax, with Kihyun adding that it was past 10:00 p.m. at the time and I.M still in disbelief.
While finding a way to pay his vehicle tax, Kihyun then becomes shocked and says, "Wait... I was just trying to pay my vehicle tax, but it's suddenly showing me the income tax that I owe last year."

I.M and Kihyun continue on trying to figure out how to pay their taxes. "I found it. It is on [...]. It shows up when you go on there. Do you have it?" asked Kihyun to I.M, with the latter saying he should call his accountant.
As the two become busy trying to settle their vehicle tax Kihyun asks the staff to give them 30 seconds.
However, the two idols decided that they would address the issue after finishing their live radio broadcast. But even after they read another message sent in by a listener, I.M and Kihyun were still distracted.
"Is there an auto pay enrollment for vehicle tax?" asked I.M, with Kihyun saying they'll take care of it after playing the next song.

When the next song played, I.M and Kihyun got right back into paying their taxes, with I.M making a phone call, presumably with his accountant.
Once the song finished, Kihyun then asked I.M if he had gotten it taken care of, to which I.M said it is being taken care of at the moment.

Kihyun then looked much relaxed, and said, "Mine was included in my payments. My car is actually on lease so the tax is included in my monthly payments."
Seeing the situation, fans couldn't help but laugh at the very realistic reactions the two idols had.
Some comments read, "They looked so stressed while the song was playing kkkkk," "It is MonsTAX from here on kkkkkk," "Why is it that MONSTA X always finds a way to make people laugh with something so serious like their vehicle tax kkkkk," and "That fan was so random though kkkk."
