Bill Goldberg is coming back and reportedly ready for another title shot.

Fightful Select reported Thursday evening that the former WWE and WCW Champion is heading back to the WWE “imminently.” According to the report, he will perform at the Elimination Chamber event on February 19 in Saudi Arabia. The report also mentions that Goldberg will finally get his opportunity to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.

Reigns and Goldberg were originally in the plans back at WrestleMania in 2020, but the Covid-19 global pandemic forced much of the professional wrestling industry, and the world to a halt. Reigns removed himself from active competition, setting up Braun Strowman to take his place to defeat Goldberg and become the WWE Universal Champion.

Goldberg was last seen at WWE Crown Jewel in October of 2021, where he picked up a victory over the current WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley, in a No Holds Barred, Falls Count Anywhere match.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated interviewed Goldberg in which he said he has one match remaining on his current WWE contract.

“I’m focused on what’s next,” Goldberg said during the interview. “If they want to come back to me with something, we’ll talk. You never know what the future holds.”
