Georgia will pay Bryan McClendon $700,000 annually.

Georgia will pay Bryan McClendon significantly more than its previous wide receivers coach.

McClendon returned to the Bulldogs staff this week after being hired last month at Miami following two seasons at Oregon.

Georgia will pay him $700,000 annually, according to information obtained Thursday in an open records request.

Cortez Hankton, who left for LSU, was paid $550,000 annually to coach the Bulldogs wide receivers.

McClendon, like Hankton, is also the passing game coordinator. McClendon’s salary at Oregon was $515,000, according to USA Today’s salary survey.

Georgia also disclosed what new offensive analyst Mike Bobo will make.

He’ll receive $100,000 in base salary a year.

Bobo was owed $2.6 million through Jan. 31, 2024 by Auburn after he was fired as offensive coordinator following one season, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.

Bobo returned to Georgia where he is a former quarterback and longtime assistant, coaching the quarterbacks and serving as offensive coordinator.

Offensive quality control assistant Buster Faulkner also got a $50,000 boost in base salary to $200,000 annually. That was effective on Dec. 15.

Faulkner was on the road recruiting for Georgia while the coaching staff had openings.
