Broadway’s Anthony Rapp sells Noho home for $2M

Broadway and TV star Anthony Rapp just sold his Noho home — the one he was able to buy after starring as the original Mark Cohen in Broadway’s famed musical, “Rent” — for over its asking price.

The Bond Street home sold for $2 million — it was only on the market for 12 days and sold for over its initial $1.95 million asking price.

This was the first time it has been on the market in more than two decades.

The second-floor unit, at 1 Bond St. — a landmarked cast-iron building that comes with a Palladian dormer with a clock — once served as a factory floor.

The building was originally built from 1879 to 1880 as the American Waltham Watch Company headquarters and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 — five years before it converted to condos.

At 1,250 square feet, the residence comes with original details like pine hardwood floors, Corinthian columns, restored tin ceilings with cornices and even an original claw-foot soaking tub.

The unit boasts a large open living/dining area and an open chef’s kitchen, along with a large “sleeping area,” according to the listing.

The residence also features a lot of built-ins, a home office with a reading nook and a “one-of-a-kind reclaimed wooden wall” commissioned by artist Michelle Peterson-Albandoz.

The listing broker was Sotheby’s Kristi Ambrosetti.

Last month, we reported Rapp’s $3.5 million East Village purchase with partner Ken Ithiphol. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is at 32 E. 1st St. It was asking $3.62 million in 2019.

The Obie-winning actor now plays openly gay Lt. Cmdr. Paul Stamets on “Star Trek: Discovery.” Rapp was also the first actor to accuse Kevin Spacey of sexual assault in 2017.
