Hernangomez was placed in the league's health and safety protocols Thursday, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.
Hernangomez will be unavailable for Friday's matchup against the Nuggets and will be forced to isolate from the team. Wenyen Gabriel could handle a slightly larger workload while Hernangomez is sidelined.
