Question: How long have you been playing with the Cougars?

Answer: Around three years off and on.

Q: How did you get into basketball?

A: I just got into getting on the court. Looking at my older sister Lucita playing really made me want to play for Alamo.

Q: What position do you play?

A: I am a bottom center player for the team.

Q: What is the best part of your game?

A: My shooting. Mainly from the outside. Three pointers are where I do best. I try to utilize that as the weakest part of my game is down low in the paint.

Q: How is your team doing so far?

A: I would say we are doing great. Passing, rebounding, communicating. For what we have we always fight hard as a team.

Q: What is your favorite part about playing basketball?

A: Being and playing with my team. Playing for Alamo where I was born and raised. I played in Magdalena for a few years, but I wanted to play for the team where I grew up. I always wanted to play for my hometown.

Q: Do you play any other sports?

A: I play football. I’m a wide receiver. But I prefer basketball. It was the first sport I fell in love with.

Q: What is your favorite sport to watch?

A: Basketball. It gives me drive to get better. The (Oklahoma City) Thunder are my team. I like how young they are and yet play so hard.

Q: What is your favorite sport that you do not play?

A: Baseball. I’m a big Yankees fan and I loved to watch Derek Jeter play. It was always so much fun to watch with the family. My brother’s name is Jeter.

Q: Who is your favorite athlete of all time?

A: Have to go with Chris Paul. He’s a shifty guard that communicates well. He’s in control all the time and handles the ball well. When it counts, he makes the play the team needs.

Q: What is your favorite Olympic sport?

A: Running. I really like the long distance competitions.

Q: What athlete do you look up to the most?

A: It’s definitely Kobe. His work ethic. I try to have the same type of drive and work ethic myself.

Q: If you could have dinner with one person in history, who would it be?

A: I would go with Drake. I don’t know Drake but there’s a lot of reasons why he is my idol. The number one reason is how he is always working and grinding all the time.
