Strome dished out a power-play assist while adding three shots, two blocked shots and a fighting major in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.

Strome had an eventful night in his final action before the All-Star break. Soon after feeding Chris Kreider for a deflection at the far post on the rush, Strome took a blindside hit from Mason Marchment late in the second period. Marchment somehow avoided a penalty on the play, but Strome took exception to the borderline hit and challenged Marchment in the third. The 191-pound Strome was the clear victor in the scrap against the much bigger Marchment, who's listed at 6-foot-4 and 209 pounds. With 34 points through 43 games, New York's second-line center is on pace to eclipse 60 points for the first time, though Strome would likely have done so in each of the previous two seasons, had they been full-length campaigns.
