Oleksiak (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, per the NHL media site.
Oleksiak has been sidelined by either illness or injury for the last seven games. He will miss Wednesday's game against the Islanders at a minimum. The 29-year-old has averaged 19:26 of ice time and recorded 11 points over 37 appearances this season.
