Dele Alli spent seven years at Tottenham Hotspur, arriving in 2015, and along with Harry Kane, were seen as a cornerstone for the north London club, especially under former manager Mauricio Pochettino.

However, after the sacking of the Argentine tactician, Alli has been unable to find his past form. Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espírito Santo, and Antonio Conte have been unable to get Alli to perform at a high level consistently.

Kane and Alli were close despite Spurs struggling over the past couple of seasons, and the 28-year-old tweeted wishing his now-former teammate the best as he departs for Everton.

“Good luck on your next chapter @dele_official,” Kane tweeted. “We’ve had some great memories together over the past seven years. Thank you for everything you have given me and the club! See you soon.”

Alli is joining The Toffees on a performance-based deal. Everton will have to pay £10 million once the 25-year-old plays 20 games, which will occur next season considering Alli is cup-tied and there are less than 20 matches left in the Premier League season.

If the midfielder can find his past form with manager Frank Lampard, they could reportedly net Spurs up to £40-million due to the bonuses.
