  • Whey protein concentrate – Whey proteins are extracted from dairy. Concentrated whey contains between 70-80% protein by weight and also contains trace amounts of dairy fat and lactose. They taste the best compared to other varieties.
  • Whey protein isolates – Whey isolates are more concentrated, with roughly 90% protein by weight. They lack many of the minerals you’d find in whey concentrate and also taste worse.
  • Whey hydrolysate – This a whey protein product made by hydrolyzing whey concentrate with certain enzymes. It is easier to digest and causes a sudden insulin spike after its digested.
