Asplund exited the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Tuesday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
Asplund has missed the last two games while in the virus protocols. The 24-year-old has averaged 15:51 of ice time -- 1:49 during the man advantage -- and recorded five goals and 11 assists over 42 appearances this season. Anders Bjork may see a reduced role upon Asplund's return.
