Lewington was promoted from AHL Providence to the taxi squad Tuesday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.
Lewington logged 12:30 of ice time and was held without a point in his most recent NHL appearance Jan. 15. The 27-year-old has recorded four points over 24 AHL Providence games in 2021-22.
