Charles Franklin "Red" Weatherford

Charles Franklin "Red" Weatherford, 92, of Decaturville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27 at his home.

He was a retired self-employed electrician, a former Parsons Police Chief and a US Army veteran.

Charles is survived by his wife, Frankie Weatherford of Decaturville; a son, Michael Weatherford of Augusta, GA; two step-daughters, Joy (Nathan) Boyd of Jackson and Susan Mays of GA; a step-son,Steve (Sherrill) McPherson of OK; and a sister, Betty Fleming of Decaturville.

He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Berry "EB" and Sarah Elizabeth Horton Weatherford; three brothers, Theodore, James and Horton Weatherford; three sisters, Hettie Grimsley, Clara Parrish and Eulah Weatherford.

His funeral service will be held at Reed's Chapel, Decaturville, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022 with burial following at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service.
