Health officials in north Texas are asking parents to make sure they keep an eye out for what their kids are watching, especially when it comes to challenges on the popular app Tik Tok.
Last week officials say a total of 9 students at Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth and Shannon High School in the Birdville ISD had to be rushed to the hospital after they appeared to be overdosing on some type of substance.
Matt Zavadsky of MedStar says they later learned it was the so-called 'Benadryl Overdose Challenge' that some of the kids took part in.
He says overdosing on anything has no benefits and could result in death.
Many are growing concerned at the increasing danger that many of these Tik Tok challenges pose.
