Bellows could be the odd man out of the lineup now that the Islanders have a completely healthy forward group, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Coach Barry Trotz believes that Bellows is best served to play on the left side, which would eliminate him playing on a line with Mathew Barzal and Anders Lee, a position that has been wide open for most of the season. Trotz has been giving tryouts to just about every forward for that line. If Bellows can't play with Barzal, that likely leaves him competing with Kyle Palmieri for a role on the third line. It's also likely that Trotz will keep rotating this duo and possibly others until one gets hot and starts putting the biscuit in the basket, or one is just playing better than the other.
