Players on Championship Sunday that could be on the Colts next season
The Indianapolis Colts are going to need some help this offseason if they are committed to pushing all of their chips in for a championship.
Recently on Twitter, Indianapolis Colts owner, Jim Irsay, alluded to needing an elite quarterback and the ability to score a lot of points to win games in the NFL. Is this a sign of things to come this offseason?
The Colts are in desperate need of a fusion of youth and veteran leadership to really make a run at winning the Super Bowl. With the NFL year getting ready to start back up, it might be valuable to get a look at who could be in an Indianapolis uniform next year.
Colts Move the Needle for a Championship Run
With a few key big moves this offseason, Indy could be right in the mix with some of the AFC powerhouses that are forming. Trading for someone like Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers would propel this team into greatness right out of the gate.
Trades like this will take quite a bit of assets to acquire. Most teams are looking for first-round picks, and that’s just something the Colts do not have in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Right after Irsay’s tweet, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers told Pat McAfee that he would come to Indianapolis to break the news on what his future plans were. Of course, he was also wearing blue, making half the Colts fanbase think he was leaning towards Indy.
A move for a player like Rodgers could cost the Colts a ton of assets considering he only has one year left on his contract and could likely retire. Rodgers would mean the Colts are all-in on winning a Super Bowl in 2022.
Getting an elite quarterback is an absolute must, but that also means the Colts need additional players somewhere in free agency to ensure that the team has every opportunity to win.
