Matthew Ward turned in another dominant performance and set the career scoring record in Big Spring’s (10-6) 59-53 victory over Mid-Penn Colonial foe Northern (6-11).

Early in the first quarter, Ward knocked down a 3-pointer to officially break the Big Spring’s career scoring record. The previous record of 1365 points was set by Cale Nelson in 2004.

Ward finished the contest with 23 points, while teammate Aidan Sallie netted 18 points. Sallie knocked down nine points from beyond the arc. Jake Knouse scored 11 points in the divisional win.

Ryan Delafield and Andrew Gingrich finished with 15 points apiece to lead the Polar Bears. Delafield and Gingrich each knocked down nine points from 3-point range.
