The Wizards’ struggles continue and part of the issue may be team chemistry problems derived from the club’s surplus of depth.

“A lot of my teammates are fighting for minutes. They’re fighting for a spot, they’re fighting for survival in a lot of ways, trying not to be traded, trying to stay in the league, trying to get another contract,” Bradley Beal tells Chris Miller of NBC Sports.

“So, I get it from the business standpoint and it’s tough to manage that from different roles because everybody has a different agenda in a way. Once we have a committed group to what’s important and winning, then I think that’s what’s going to change.”

Suns, Grizzlies Among NBA Teams Looking for Depth

It’s no secret that the Wizards will need to make a trade to consolidate some of their talent, something that would allow for players to see regular minutes and overall, improve the team’s consistency.

The Suns and Grizzlies are two teams that are looking for depth, according to longtime journalist Marc Stein.

While Stein doesn’t mention any trade targets, he does pass along that Phoenix has discussed trading for another shooter. Davis Bertans comes to mind as a candidate, though fitting his salary on the Suns will be tricky. Raul Neto could be another candidate, though it’s worth noting that he’s a lockerroom favorite in Washington.

The Grizzlies are looking for a wing but don’t want to hinder their offseason flexibility, per Stein.
