We are tracking a powerful nor'easter that is bringing strong winds and heavy snow to the Mid-Atlantic and New England. The highest snow totals will likely fall east of the I-95 corridor, right along the coast.
Blizzard Warnings are in effect for the Delaware beaches, Jersey shore and parts of New England. These areas could be measuring snow in feet instead of inches!
Snow has ended across our easternmost counties, but untreated roads may still be slick and snow covered, so use caution when traveling. Watch out for blowing snow, which could reduce visibility at times.
Today is an IMPACT day because of the strong winds and low wind chills. The nor'easter will rapidly intensity as it moves northeast this afternoon and this is when wind gusts will be the highest across the Susquehanna Valley.
Winds could gust up to 35-40 mph and with temperatures in the lower 20s, wind chills will likely hover in the single digits all day long.
Wind speeds come down overnight, but it remains breezy with lows in the single digits and wind chills near 0 degrees. Clouds increase again tomorrow as another quick moving system moves into the region.
A few flurries will be possible, but it remains cold with highs in the upper 20s.
The cold weather pattern will finally break down next week as temperatures soar into the 40s by Tuesday!
