Crashes

Minnesota State Patrol: crash with non-life-threatening injuries, 6:51 a.m. Jan. 21 Interstate 90 in mile 77, Jackson County. Erica Danielle Caradonna, 43, of Algona, Iowa, was driving a 1999 Chrysler Sebring east on Interstate 90 when she went around a curve, lost control on the snowy, icy road and went into the south ditch. No airbag deployed, but Caradonna was wearing her seatbelt. She was transported to the Sanford Jackson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Jackson Fire Department, Jackson Ambulance and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

WPD: crash without injuries, 8:28 a.m. Tuesday, 600 block of James Boulevard.

WPD: crash with parked car, no injuries, 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, 1100 Diagonal Road.

NCSO: vehicle off roadway, 3:38 p.m. Wednesday, U.S. 59 and 170th Street.

Minnesota State Patrol: crash with non-life-threatening injuries, 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, Interstate 90 in mile 79, Jackson County. Chrisohn Jaie Goraczkowski, 25, of Jackson, was driving a 1995 Ford Explorer westbound on the snowy, icy road, lost control and rolled into the ditch. No airbag deployed, but Goraczkowski was wearing his seatbelt. He was transported to Sanford Jackson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Alpha Fire and Rescue and Jackson County Ambulance assisted at the scene.

NCSO: crash with injuries, 10:33 p.m. Wednesday, Hesselroth Avenue and 120th Street.

WPD: crash without injuries, 6:16 p.m. Thursday, Okabena Street and Turner Street.

Police

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: arrested Gary Dewayne McConnell, 51, of Adrian, Thursday, on an Osceola County warrant for failure to appear. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail and held on a $2,000 cash-only bond.

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: arrested Sirjio Marco Bluearm, 38, of Sibley, Iowa, following a traffic stop Friday on 130th Street. He was charged with four counts for unlawful possession of prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into Osceola County Jail and is being held on a $1,300 bond.

Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: arrested Jaime Trotter, 39, of Minot, North Dakota, on Monday, for eluding, a serious misdemeanor, as well as theft fifth-degree, failure to yield to emergency vehicle and unauthorized use of flashing lights, all simple misdemeanors. Trotter was lodged in Lyon County Jail.

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: arrested Dominique Demetrice Farrar, 30, and Silk Lesure, 27, both of Marietta, Georgia, following a traffic stop Monday on Iowa 60 south of 130th Street. They were charged with failure to affix drug tax stamp and controlled substance violation, both class D felonies, possession of a controlled substance - marijuana first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Farrar was also charged with operating while under the influence - first offense. Both were booked into the Osceola County Jail and are being held on a bond of $5,000 each.

Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: arrested Melissa A. Radley, 27, of Luverne, Tuesday, on an active warrant for failure to appear for a probation revocation hearing. She was transported to Lyon County Jail and held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

NCSO: truancy, 8:54 a.m. Tuesday, Wilmont.

WPD: K-9 sniff for school, 12:38 p.m. Tuesday, Adrian.

NCSO: scam, 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, 12000 block of Oliver Avenue, Fulda.

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: convicted Landon Michael Edward McConnell Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, a serious misdemeanor. He will serve 120 days in the Osceola County Jail with all time suspended except time already served. McConnell will pay a $430 fine and a 15% crime services surcharge, and will serve one year of probation. He must also be evaluated for substance abuse and follow any treatment, rehabilitation or monitoring program recommended. McConnell will pay court costs, legal defense expenses, crime victim assistance costs, any required contribution to a local anti-crime organization and restitution to the medical assistance program.
