SCHLESWIG - A 24-year-old Sheboygan man died in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in the township of Schleswig.

The Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office and emergency personnel responded to the crash site, at the intersection of State 32 and State 57, around 9:48 a.m., according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The crash occurred when the man, driving an SUV, was headed southbound and missed a stop sign. He ran into a truck headed northbound, driven by a 21-year-old New Holstein woman with a baby as a passenger.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was taken by ambulance to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and the baby, who was properly restrained in the car, appeared to be uninjured, the news release said.

The crash remains under investigation.
