Goaltender Michael Houser has been placed in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol, the Buffalo Sabres announced Friday.
Houser is 2-0-0 with a .948 save percentage and a 2.00 goals-against average in two starts this season. Goaltenders Craig Anderson and Dustin Tokarski are expected to travel with the team this weekend. Anderson has been out since November with an injury and Tokarski is still recovering from the effects of COVID-19. Aaron Dell is currently serving a three-game suspension by the NHL, while Malcolm Subban and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen are out long-term with injuries. Buffalo will begin that three-game road trip tomorrow night in Arizona. Faceoff against the Coyotes is at 9 p.m. on MSG and WGR 550 with pregame coverage on MSG starting at 8:30.
