The LIRR resumed regularly scheduled train service Sunday morning a day after the commuter rail system suspended service before a winter nor'easter.

The LIRR is urging customers to use extra caution on platforms and hold on to handrails when using stairs as surfaces may be slippery.

Railroad officials said crews worked through the night to clear ice from tracks and platforms.

The Metro-North Railroad said it was running a regular Sunday schedule on all branches.

The MTA said Southbound A/D trains resumed express service in Manhattan after the authority stored trains on the express track during the storm.

The New York City Transit Authority said it is running as much service as it can with the bus operators they have available, presumably with some drivers being out due to COVID-19 while others may be having difficulty getting to work due to the snow.
