NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Flights were temporarily paused at Charleston International Airport on Friday because of an issue with a private plane.

Airport officials told News 2 that a private plane with a flat tire near the runway caused a temporary shutdown of the airfield.

The airfield has been re-opened and flights are once again taking off and landing.

It’s not clear how long the shutdown lasted.
