Alabama basketball forward Juwan Gary has been practicing with a temporary mask and is expected to play when the Crimson Tide (13-7) hosts No. 4 Baylor (18-2) at 3 p.m. Saturday (TV: ESPN).

The Crimson Tide also is expected to have guard Keon Ellis available against the Bears but will be without forward Darius Miles, Alabama coach Nate Oats said Friday.

"Juwan practiced today," Oats said. "Based on how everything goes post practice he got bumped, guess we had a temporary mask and the one that he's suppose to wear for the game comes tomorrow. I anticipate him playing some type of limited role."

Miles has not practiced since suffering a knee injury in Tuesday's loss to Georgia. Oats doesn't believe it's a long-term injury and expects more answers next week.

"(Miles) hyperextended his knee, got a bone bruising there," Oats said. "He's got to get the bone healed up to where he can deal with the pain."

As for Ellis, who left the Georgia game after a hard fall and later returned, the senior guard said he is "fine."

"I'm 100%," he said.

Ellis has averaged 12.8 points and 6.8 rebounds. Miles has averaged 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds, and Gary has averaged 8.2 points and 4.3 rebounds.
