Police say Omaha man found in car had been fatally shot

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police say an Omaha man who was found inside a car with gunshot wounds has died from his injuries.

Omaha police say in a news release that officers were called around 11 p.m. Thursday to a residential area just north of Sorenson Parkway and found the victim. He was rushed to an Omaha hospital, where he later died.

Police identified the victim as 46-year-old Daron Hunter of Omaha.

Police have not announced any suspects or arrests in the case and have asked anyone with information on the shooting to contact CrimeStoppers.

Any tip leading to an arrest is eligible for a $25,000 reward.
