Author ‘Coach Sloth’ Visits Lamoni and Bedford Students

Author ‘Coach Sloth’ visited elementary students in Lamoni and Bedford last week. The Iowa native and former Iowa State Cyclone football player, Ryan Sloth, has written several children’s books and visits schools, encouraging children to become readers and writers.
Students joined Sloth in acting out the story of Hank the Bully. Each child was presented with signed copies of one of Sloth’s books.
Sloth was a walk-on for Iowa State in the late ’90s and was part of the team that led Iowa State to its first bowl game victory. After graduation he played and coached arena football, including time with the Iowa Barnstormers.
Sloth has been writing children’s books for almost 15 years.
