SEFFNER — A 34-year-old Tampa man died from injuries he received when he collided with two vehicles on Interstate 4 while changing lanes in his car, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred at 3:23 a.m. Friday just west of Mango Road.

The Tampa man was driving east in the outside center lane when he drove across two lanes and collided with a sport utility vehicle. His car bounced into the inside center lane and was struck from behind by another car.

The SUV was able to come to a controlled stop. The other two vehicles spun into the oncoming eastbound travel lanes, forcing troopers to close the highway for several hours.
