Over the past few years, the Utah Jazz have been one of the best regular-season teams in the NBA. This year isn’t exactly going to plan.

At the start of the year, everything looked fine. They were off to another hot start and primed to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

However, after going 2-8 in their last 10 games, maybe some NBA trades are in order? While blockbuster moves are highly unlikely, would they be open to the idea?

NBA Trades: 2 Rudy Gobert trades to reshape the Jazz

Donovan Mitchell is the young star, so would they ever consider trading Rudy Gobert? Almost certainly not. Gobert is a severely underrated player, despite having won Defensive Player of the Year three times now.

In fact, the Jazz are looking to add perimeter defenders at the trade deadline to help make life easier for their big man. So trading him away is definitely not in their plans.

NBA Trades are fun to look at, though. Gobert is a somewhat controversial player because of the way he went out in the playoffs last year, so thinking about his trade value is interesting.

He’s very clearly the best defensive center in the NBA. Most versatile? No. But in terms of overall defensive impact and presence, there isn’t anyone better than Gobert.

What sort of teams around the league would be willing to make a move for him? What kind of trade offers would Utah get in return for the All-Star-caliber center? Why would the NBA trades benefit both sides?
