The sudden uptick in offense has the defenseman at nine assists with 41 shots, 49 hits, 45 blocks, 33 PIM and a minus-9 rating in 41 contests overall. Benning has mainly played in a bottom-four role and probably won't continue his recent scoring uptick for long.
