3 Columbus City Schools closing Friday due to heating issues, 1 school on remote learning

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Columbus City Schools said classes will be canceled for three schools Friday due to heating issues in the buildings.

The three schools that will be closed are:

• Siebert Elementary School
• West Broad Elementary School
• Columbus City Preparatory School for Boys and the BlendED Pre-K through 8 program due to teachers and staff who typically work on-site at the Boys School.

CCS said due to an increased number of staff absences, Northtowne Elementary School will be on remote learning Friday.
