The New Jersey Devils are currently continuing the now long-standing tradition of an extended golf season and are sitting with another bad record of 15-21-5 at the 41 game mark. As usual, this is not good enough to be competitive and they are sitting 26th in the league. Today we will be looking at individual performances as the team overall should be given a hard F. Once again I will also state that expectation goes into the ratings so a  fourth-liner doing their role can have worse numbers than a top liner for obvious reasons.

Jack Hughes

Jack Hughes came back from a serious shoulder injury and has continued to show that he is about to hit superstardom. He signed an $8 million annual extension with the Devils, and h will earn that big contract in no time. He should be hitting 20 goals this season and has a good shot at being a point-per-game player, which will open up the eyes of all the doubters around the league. He is the best play driver on the team and the Devils out chance the other team with him on the ice by ridiculous margins. Next season, his expectations will be through the roof but he can easily hit 80points.

Jesper Bratt

Jesper Bratt has shown what he can do and is right behind Hughes in pretty much every way when it comes to production on this team. He continues to be a cornerstone piece for the present and the future. He drives play and the team can get up the ice with the puck on his stick which is something that can’t be said about the rest of the roster not yet listed. His contract is up after this year should terrify fans as he will be getting a very sizable raise from the $2.75 million he’s making now.

Yegor Sharangovich

The numbers here are a bit lower than fans would have hoped especially on the side of the goal scoring. Yegor Sharangovich has been playing better as of late. He is playing at just under a 20-goal pace if he was in all 82 games. He is not getting as many chances as last season. Currently, he is playing with the team’s two best players and two great playmakers, so this is his time to shine. If he can have a solid second half which he needs to the team might win a few more games. More importantly, he can keep the confidence he gained last year.
