Charmed Season 4 Promo Introduces Lucy Barrett as New Third Witch
The Power of Three is reuniting this spring. Charmed returns to The CW for its fourth season on Friday, March 11 (8/7c), and TVLine has an exclusive first look at the promo, which introduces Australian actress Lucy Barrett as the new third Charmed One.
“After the tragic death of their sister, Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) struggle to get back on their feet until a fateful encounter with the new Charmed One (Barrett) reawakens the Power of Three…and their sisterhood,” reads the official description for Season 4. “But who is this mysterious young artist from Philadelphia, and why was she — of all people — chosen to take on the mantle of a Charmed One? Could she be their long-lost sister? Or is she something else entirely?”
And this new witch couldn’t be coming along at a better time. The description goes on to say that “the magical world is coming apart at the seams,” and the Charmed ones are being blamed for failing to stop a mysterious new baddie from attacking innocent creatures.
“To uncover the truth behind this new threat, they’ll need to rely on old allies Harry (Rupert Evans), Jordan (Jordan Donica), Josefina (Mareya Salazar) and Ruby (Bethany Brown), as well as unexpected new ones — Roxie (Shi Ne Nielson), the beguiling owner of magical nightclub The Blue Camellia, and Dev (Kapil Talwalkar), a popular performer at the club,” the description continues. “And the Charmed Ones will need all of the help they can get, because whoever is coming after them has a plan. And if it succeeds, it will mean the end of the Power of Three…forever.”
Jeffrey Lieber, Nicki Renna and Joey Falco serve as showruners for Season 4, executive-producing alongside Kevin Dowling, Lisa Towers, Jennie Snyder Urman, Ben Silverman, Brad Silberling, Howard Owens, Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro.
“We’re so excited about this character,” Renna told TVLine of the yet-unnamed third Charmed One back in August 2021. “It’s an opportunity to bring in an incredibly fun, irreverent, unpredictable personality. She’s edgy and smart and has a wicked sense of humor, but we also like that she’s not perfect. She’s flawed. She has insecurities and fears like we all do. We’re just having a lot of fun, and we’re excited to explore how that will affect the dynamic between Mel and Maggie.”

I just can’t bring myself to watch without Macy or Harry and Macy.
Thats how I feel. Macy & Harry were my favorite part. But, I’ll see how it is and give the change a chance.

Well if she was abandoned by Marsiol just like Macy was then obviously she would have the same kind of issues
Macy did not have a wicked sense of humor. She was incredibly intelligent almost genius like. This says the woman is smart but she’s not bookworm intelligence like Macy.
Joey Falco telling fans it takes 13 episodes to get answers for the new character does not inspire me to watch weekly. It should not take a whole season. I’ll binge it when it gets on Netflix
I stopped halfway in season 2 when they were in like an alternate universe in a random Seattle office? Whatever was going on. Thank god I did. The actress was the prettiest Among the cast and she deserves better roles.

It wasn’t an alternative universe and they still live there now and work at Safe Space. It’s a pitty you didn’t stick with the show, you missed some really great and original storylines, especially how they got around the Covid filming regulations without writing actual Covid into the storyline! It’s now one of my favourite programs (after the original Charmed of course) and I can’t wait for it’s return!
You aren’t missing much. I currently hate watch it hoping it will go back to how it was season 1 but it’s just sooo bad. I don’t think I’ll be continuing next season.
I got goosebumps- can’t wait for season 4! I just hope it’s not the last season though as a lot of people (me included) loved Macy and will struggle to watch without her- Madeleine Mantock really was the best actress and most natural on the show!
As long as the writing is smart and entertaining then this show has the power and ability to go on for many seasons (like the original) with hopefully some cameos by Macy this time round as she is the new Guardian of the tree! The countdown to March is on…..can’t wait!

The stories are all over the place with no real direction.

Now that I’ve gotten over my absolute heartbreak from losing Macy, I am extremely excited about this upcoming season. I am also excited that Josefina is coming back!!

im not bitter ,im just sad that these idiots thought they can change more of the charmed facts and push on us a new charmed one ,from a different time or different sisterhood- and not provide a real relative!! i guess anybody can be charmed now a days ??? —these jerks told us to wait 13 episodes? ill wait for the entire season to be over and just read the comments and laugh !!!! IF I WAS A WRITER :MACY TURNED INTO A TEENAGER WHEN SHE DRANK THAT LICHEN POTION! there ! thats how i would have solved it !!! she’s 14 years old and now she’s the youngest of the 3 -she still has her memories but NOW she has to go back to school ,deal with boys ,hair and being a teenager PLUS -now she doesnt know about harry and falling for him anymore! and why? because she’s much younger ! and THAT could have left the door open for Madeleine -if she wanted to come back to her old acting role! maybe we could have seen older macy and younger macy in the mirror -she DID wish she she had grew up with sisters -so that would have covered everything! and Madeleine did not quit -she just took a break from her role to do other stuff -PLUS the pandemic took a lot out of her! —–MY OWN PERSONAL BELIEFS ARE THIS : in the beginning ,these ladies told everyone that the show was different-it has different type of writing- i remember they said “we only have 1 white guy and the rest is black” so that the stories would somehow reflect what black actresses feel their character would say or how they would act – now if you look at the past episodes,”where did all the black writers go”? i was looking at something else and i seen the names of the writers and it has changed dramatically , i seen NO BLACK WRITERS . could THIS be why Madeleine left ???? i dont understand how a LEAD ACTRESS -who stars in her OWN SHOW -leave that show ????? i looked at her imdb page and she did nothing ever since she left the show. she done a broadway play in england where as she plays a part in scrooge -but thats it. so why would she leave her own show???
Literally won’t give this trash any more viewership. While I loved Macy, it’s not even about her or the fact that she died. It’s the racist and offensive way that they wrote her story for two seasons before callously killing her off as an afterthought.
Madeleine leaving, I fully get and respect, but Macy represented a group of women that are rarely seen or respected on television. The character and those that she represented, who’s viewership the show happily courted, deserved better than the racist abuse they put Macy through. They should have recasted the role so that they could spend time restoring her dignity that they stole from her.
But nope the show decided they rather slap “a new Black” on it and call it a day. Idgad how much they are now trying to push their Black characters to the forefront. I already watched in increasing ire and horror as they essentially said Black lives DON’T matter for two seasons. They have already showed me that the don’t value people like me so why would I continue to watch. This show is already down in the gutter and that is where it will remain. The remaining two actors can barely act and their characters are not appealing enough to draw in a crowd. They will get a minor viewership boost from people who want to see how the reboot’s Paige storyline goes down but those numbers will drop once people see how uninspired the show is.
The last showrunners were racist idiots and I don’t think this next set is any different. Such a deep and disappointing shame. I was rooting for this show. All I wanted was to watch some awesome, powerful women who looked like me, wear gorgeous clothes, have great jobs, have interesting love lives and balance out their normal and supernatural lives. I didn’t ask to be preached to or pitied. They really wrote season 2 and 3 as if being a minority was a joyless death sentence. That is how you know the people in charge of the show didn’t see our humanity. Ugh. I hate them so much.
I didn’t know the show had racist actions. But I don’t watch. Can you elaborate or do you have a blogg?
So excited about charmed season 4 can’t wait for it to be released.
