2022 has begun on the cold side for Rochester and much of the eastern U.S.

Another polar cold front will drop south overnight, bringing snow squalls and a big drop in the mercury.

Just as in recent Arctic intrusions, local lake flakes will fly across towns near and north of I-90. Locally, 1-3" of snow will fall in a few towns during the day.

Now for the good news for the winter-weary. We are expecting a warm up next week beginning Tuesday. Although it won't last long, enjoy it when it gets here!
