Remember the tote bags? The bucket hats? The coffee carts? The pop-up shop? The mural? The Publisher’s Publicity Circle Awards, which celebrate the best campaigns carried out by publicists, remember—and as The Bookseller reports, they’ve shortlisted the Beautiful World, Where Are You campaign for their hardback fiction award.

The other shortlisted titles are Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro; Ruthless Women by Melanie Blake; Animal by Lisa Taddeo; Sankofa by Chibundu Onuzo; and Sorrow and Bliss by Meg Mason.

The fact the book-themed coffee cart is being formally recognized gives me hope that more book-themed coffee carts are in our future. Furthermore, why can’t we have Sally Rooney coffee carts in the off-season? And, dreaming bigger, why can’t we have book-themed crossover events for more book launches? A Fuccboi x Postmates collab. Maternity clothes printed with the Manywhere cover. To Paradise-themed PPE. Sounds utopian. Yeah . . . that’s the word I want.
