Rumor has it Brad Pitt is quietly off the market, but it's a false rumor, reports Page Six. The Sun claimed, per a source, that Pitt has been seeing 35-year-old Swedish singer Lykke Li since the middle of last year; the two are neighbors. The speculation originated from DeuxMoi submissions. DeuxMoi is an unverified celebrity gossip Instagram account; a tipster had submitted that Pitt and Li were recently spotted dining at Mother Wolf.

A source confirmed they were there together to The Sun: “It was Lykke, they were dining together,” the source said.

A second source added, “Brad and Lykke have been able to fly under the radar so easily because they're neighbors. It's worked out perfectly for Brad, to have someone he likes living so close.” Pitt and Li both live in Los Feliz in LA.

Hours after The Sun's report spread, Page Six published its own exclusive, where a source confirmed that Li and Pitt are not dating at all. “He hasn’t seen her in two years,” an insider said. “He met her a couple of years ago. [There’s] nothing negative. They are just not dating.”

The outlet's source stressed that Pitt isn't planning on dating anyone famous again. A source close to Pitt previously told Page Six, “I can’t see Brad dating someone super famous again. I can definitely see him dating someone with a lower profile.”

Pitt was last reported to be dating German model Nicole Poturalski in August 2020. By October, it was over, with a source telling Page Six, “It was never all that serious as it was cracked up to be.”

During that relationship, in September 2020, Us Weekly ran a report downplaying Pitt's romance—and his general desire to have a serious partner at that point. A source told the outlet that “Brad thinks Nicole is beautiful and kind. He has absolutely no plans nor any desire to ever get married again. Brad doesn’t want a girlfriend that he’s with every day.”

Pitt has kept details about his love life largely private since his September 2016 split from ex-wife Angelina Jolie. In January 2020, he did joke about that part of his life being a mess to Marc Maron on Maron's podcast. “I'm just trash mag fodder,” he said, via Harper's Bazaar. “Because of my disaster of a personal life, most likely.”
