Centralia Police arrested two students at the Centralia High School Annex on Wednesday following separate incidents.

Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson says 20-year-old Isaiah Shelton of the Hoyleton Children’s Home was arrested on four counts of aggravated battery and criminal damage to state supported property. Dodson reports the series of events began when Shelton became upset and threw his Chromebook and desk.

When two security officers arrived, Shelton allegedly struck both of them. Later at the Centralia Police Station he allegedly spat in the face of two officers resulting in the other aggravated battery charges.

The second student, 19-year-old Harleigh Davison of the Hoyleton Children’s Home reported threw her desk and tore up a different classroom at the same time. She was arrested for criminal damage to state supported property and aggravated assault for allegedly threatening to kill one of the staff members.

Both were taken to the Marion County Jail.
