Video Shows Woman Kidnapped Before Falling From Van at 60 mph

The moment a woman was kidnapped by her then-boyfriend before falling from a van going at 60mph has been caught on CCTV.

The incident took place at 10:45 a.m. on September 17, 2020, in Leicestershire, England. The clip was played for jurors this week during a trial at Leicester Crown Court. Leicestershire Police department issued a press release detailing the events.

Angel Lynn, the woman in the footage, was discovered by members of the public lying seriously injured on the A6 road near Loughborough not long after the CCTV footage captured her.

"Despite intensive medical intervention, she remains in hospital with life-changing injuries," the police said.

"Our investigation uncovered that shortly before being found injured, Angel was seen exiting a silver transit van which had pulled up in Loughborough Road in Mountsorrel.

"[Chay] Bowskill followed her out of the van, forcibly picked her up in the street and carried her back into the van.

"The vehicle which was being driven by [Rocco] Sansome then swiftly left the area at speed. At some point in the journey after, Angel exited the vehicle while it traveled along the A6."

Chay Bowskill, the boyfriend of the victim, was convicted of coercive and controlling behavior and perverting the course of justice on Wednesday. A second man, Rocco Sansome, who can also be seen in the CCTV footage, was also found guilty of kidnap.

Bowskill was sentenced to a total of seven-and-a-half years in prison while Sansome was sentenced to 21 months in prison.

The senior investigating officer, Chief Inspector Tony Yarwood, reflected on the severe injuries Lynn suffered as a result of these two men.

"Angel is a young woman who had plans and aspirations in place and the rest of her life to look forward to. Because of the extent of her injuries she now faces constant medical treatment and round-the-clock care," Yarwood said.

"Her family remains devastated by what has happened and I praise the strength and bravery they have shown and continue to demonstrate to this day."

The family of Lynn also issued a statement through the Leicestershire police following the convictions of Bowskill and Sansome.

Lynn's father, Paddy, praised the police for their work and highlighted the difficulty they now face moving forward.

"Our lives have been changed beyond recognition forever," he said.

"Angel was so full of life and had such a great future ahead of her. That future has sadly been taken away from her.

"The catastrophic injuries Angel suffered will mean life will never be the same for her or our family. Every day is not only a huge struggle for Angel but also a huge struggle for our family and friends."

He closed by saying: "We don't know what the future holds for our daughter but we try to put smiles on our faces each day but inside our hearts are bleeding out.

"We'd like to thank all the officers involved in the investigation, our family liaison officers and our barrister, Mr Janes for their support throughout the last 16 months. They have all worked so hard and their dedication to Angel's case has been remarkable."
