A 23-year-old mother is among the three people in custody after officers located an unconscious 2-year-old boy Friday at a home in Woodbridge.
The child was found around 2:40 a.m. inside a residence located in the 12500 block of Colebrook Ct. in Woodbridge. The investigation revealed that the 2-year-old ingested suspected illegal narcotics after his mother, Taylor Fisher, left him unsupervised. During the investigation, detectives determined that there were additional suspected illegal narcotics within the home where a search warrant was obtained.
Responders immediately performed CPR until rescue personnel arrived on the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital where his condition was determined to be non-life-threatening.
During the search of the residence, detectives also located ammunition within the home. Detectives further identified two additional residents who were also in possession of suspected illegal narcotics. All accused parties were taken into custody without incident. The victim and a 5-year-old boy who was also in the home and unharmed were turned over to Child Protective Services.
Fisher, charged with child neglect and possession of a controlled substance, was arrested along with two additional residents, identified as James Fisher and Joseph Fisher, both 52-years-old. James Fisher was charged with possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance. Joseph Fisher was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Taylor and James Fisher are being held without bond, while Joseph Fisher secured a $3,000 bond.
