VDOT officials report traffic is being diverted off of Interstate-81 to allow emergency crews to clean up after a Thursday morning crash.

The crash shut down both lanes of Interstate-81 around exit 14 right around 4 a.m. VDOT officials reported traffic was being diverted off of exit 13 to northbound traffic.

As of 4:45, it appears at least one lane is being reopened to traffic.

Drivers can expect delays in that area as crews are still on scene. They are asked to use caution in that are.
