The Charlotte Hornets exploded on the Indiana Pacers in their own building, putting up a franchise-high 158 points with four guys scoring 20 or more points. However, there were two players that stood out among all of them: LaMelo Ball and Kelly Oubre Jr.

Oubre exploded for the most points off the bench in Hornets history with 39, while Ball captured his fifth career triple-double. Ball was also an insane +45 while he was on the floor Wednesday night. That isn't a typo, go back and read it again if you'd like. The next closest Hornet was a +27. Just an incredible night for the 20-year old.

While we're on the topic of his age, he's also the fourth person in NBA history to put up at least five triple-doubles before turning 21. He joins the list with the likes of Magic Johnson, LeBron James and Luka Doncic, which is a great company.

LaMelo Ball wasn't done making history there though. Well, almost. He is now tied for second on the Hornets' all-time triple-double list and is tied for the most triple-doubles in a season. The young playmaker was just a man possessed in Indiana.

“He impacts the game in so many ways. He's got his imprint all over these games. Even if he's not scoring the ball, he can rebound, and he's obviously a playmaker for us. To be doing what he's doing at the age of 20 is special,” James Borrego said on his gifted point guard's performance:

High praise from your head coach, but for LaMelo Ball, it's all in a days work. Getting the win is the most important thing obviously, so it's good to see a young player react like it's not a big deal.

“It means nothing really. We just trying to keep winning. We got goals, like making the playoffs. Honestly, I'm just trying to get wins,” the Hornets star shared.

It's a joy to see a young player react to his stats like it's just another day at the office. Ball has boosted his resume this season even more. If he can keep this up, we will see Ball suiting up for his first career All-Star game on Cleveland. Book it.
