Something has to change with the Los Angeles Lakers. Getting Anthony Davis back from injury will surely help, but that won’t turn them into NBA championship contenders. Even when he was healthy earlier this season the team was underperforming.

Luckily for them, the NBA trade deadline is right around the corner. There are only a couple of weeks left until February 10. Unfortunately for them, the trade package they’ve been throwing around doesn’t appear to be gaining any traction.

They’ve offered up Talen Horton-Tucker and a first for Jerami Grant, and most likely have thrown out that same package to some other teams. But the players they are targeting are borderline stars. Ultimately, the package they’re offering isn’t good enough to get a star.
